Opinion | The outgoing NATO chief is increasing his expansion into Asia

In politics and war, delusion often sounds like vision. Jens Stoltenberg undoubtedly has “that vision thing,” as the late George HW Bush once derisively called it.

If the outgoing NATO chief is to be believed, and I hope not, the largest military alliance in history with “North Atlantic” in the title is on the verge of becoming global.

Is this Western alliance about to expand eastward? If so, what do you call it? Redux of Western Imperialism?

In his parting gift for world peace or world war, Stoltenberg said in an interview with Foreign Policy, itself an undeclared information outlet for Washington's security and foreign policy elites, that North Korea, China and Iran are all in league with Russia. and NATO must be an ally to its Asian counterparts.

ASEAN countries? I think they've pretty much already said NO in all caps. But who's to say?
