Pennsylvania woman convicted of selling drugs in Clarksburg

CLARKSBURG, W.Va (WDTV) – A jury found a Pennsylvania woman guilty of selling drugs in Clarksburg on Thursday.

Jalisa Hawkins, 35, of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, was convicted of possession with intent to distribute heroin and fentanyl, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Hawkins was charged after investigators conducted surveillance at a Clarksburg apartment following complaints of drug use. Investigators saw Hawkins drive to the residence, interact with someone and leave. They followed her and stopped her after witnessing several traffic violations and found fentanyl stamps and heroin, officials said.

Hawkins faces up to 20 years in federal prison. Sentencing will be determined at a later date, officials said.

The Greater Harrison Drug Task Force and Mountaineer Highway Interdiction Team South investigated the case.
