Amgen Reports Third Party Data Breach Due to Incident at Sirva Relocation | Console and partner, PC

On September 24, 2024, Amgen, Inc. filed a notice of data breach with the Massachusetts Attorney General after it was discovered that confidential information provided to the company was compromised following an incident at Sirva Relocation, LLC (“Sirva”) were exposed to access. ). What caused the Amgen/Sirva data breach?

According to this source, Sirva became aware of suspicious activity on its computer network on September 29, 2023. In response, Sirva launched an investigation that ultimately confirmed that an unauthorized party was able to access parts of its IT network between August 16, 2023 and October 17, 2023.
