Bay City man charged with murder and mutilation of local man's body

BAY CITY, MI – Days after human limbs were found in the Saginaw River, a Bay City man has been charged with murder.

In a standing-room-only courtroom, Bay County Circuit Judge Mark E. Janer on Friday, Sept. 27, arraigned 40-year-old Robert D. Tweedly Jr. on charges of open murder and excavation or Mutilation of a corpse. Open murder includes first- and second-degree murder, both life felonies, although a first-degree conviction precludes the possibility of parole.
