Raiders DE Maxx Crosby, WR Davante Adams OUT vs. Browns

It's shocking news that the Raiders will be without their two best players at Allegiant on Sunday against the Browns.

Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce announced before practice on Friday that both DE Maxx Crosby and WR Davante Adams will not play on Sunday.

Crosby struggled with an ankle injury in the team's loss to the Panthers last Sunday. Adams injured his hamstring in practice on Thursday and the injury is apparently serious enough to force him out of the game.

Pierce also announced that several other Raiders will also be out, including TE Michael Mayer (personal), Thayer Munford (ankle/knee) and LB Divine Deablo (oblique). and CB DeCamerion Richardson (hamstring injury).

Crosby missing a game is certainly news. This will be the first game he misses in his career. Either the Raiders force him to sit or he is seriously injured.

I asked Crosby after the game last Sunday how his ankle injury compares to the knee injury he played with last season and he said his ankle injury was worse. Remember, he was hospitalized for a knee injury.
