Man accused of raping woman he met on dating app

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – Using videos he posted on YouTube, Jonesboro police tracked down a man suspected of raping a woman he met on a dating app.

Craighead County District Court Judge David Boling found probable cause Friday, Sept. 27, to charge 29-year-old Louines Laguerre with one count of rape.

According to the affidavit, officers responded to a reported sexual assault on Sept. 23 in the 300 block of Garden Manor Drive.

The victim said she met Laguerre on a dating app.

While watching a music video he created and posted on YouTube, the victim told police that Laguerre exposed himself and asked her to perform a sex act.

When she refused, the woman said Laguerre held her down and forced her to “have unwanted sex,” according to court documents.

After leaving the apartment, the victim said she received a text message from Laguerre that said, “I'm sorry.”

The victim provided investigators with Laguerre's profile photos on the dating app and information about his YouTube channel, which police used to identify him.

Laguerre is being held at the Craighead County Detention Center on a $100,000 bond awaiting arraignment on Nov. 14. If he made bail, the judge ordered him to wear a GPS ankle monitor.

Judge Boling also ordered that Laguerre not have any contact with the victim.
