Man arrested in Randall County on child porn charges

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – A man was arrested after the Randall County Sheriff's Office found several explicit videos and photos featuring children in his home.

According to a news release, a cyber tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force to the Randall County Sheriff's Office led to an arrest warrant and search of Jonathan Paul Conwell's home.

During the search of Conwell's home, over 100 data storage devices were seized as evidence.

Officials say explicit videos and photos featuring children were found while officers were at the home.

Conwell was arrested and booked into the Randall County Jail. He is charged with possession of more than 50 images or videos of child pornography and is being held on $150,000 bond.

This is an active and ongoing investigation.
