Police arrest members of Honduran drug trafficking operation | Crime and Justice

According to the sheriff's office, an undercover operation by the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office resulted in the arrest of “multiple” Honduran nationals and the seizure of several drugs.

Earlier this month, the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Unit (SIU) received a tip and completed several undercover drug transactions, the office said.

The transactions resulted in two narcotics search warrants, with the sheriff's office and the Denver SWAT team serving the warrants around 5 a.m. Thursday.

Several suspects involved in a Honduran drug trafficking organization that supplied drugs throughout Arapahoe County were arrested during the operation, the sheriff's office said.

The suspects have been charged with multiple drug offenses and are currently in custody at U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. One of the suspects was a criminal who had previously been deported for drug trafficking.

During the sting operation, SIU seized:

  • One kilo of methamphetamine
  • 13,000 fentanyl tablets
  • $10,000 in cash
  • 63 grams of heroin
  • 60 grams of cocaine
  • 151 grams of fentanyl powder
  • 12 grams of mannitol

The sheriff's office did not release the names of the suspects due to the ongoing investigation.
