* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of North Mississippi, including the following
county, DeSoto and West Tennessee, including the following county,
Shelby.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 520 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of
rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bartlett, Southaven, Collierville, Germantown, Olive Branch,
Horn Lake, Millington, Cordova, T O Fuller State Park, Meeman
Shelby Forest State Park, Memphis, Lakeland, Arlington,
Walls, Midtown Memphis, Southeast Memphis, Frayser,
Ellendale, Downtown Memphis and Whitehaven.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* WHERE...Portions of East Arkansas, including the following areas,
Clay, Craighead, Crittenden, Cross, Greene, Lee AR, Mississippi,
Poinsett and St. Francis, North Mississippi, including the
following areas, Alcorn, Benton MS, DeSoto, Marshall, Prentiss,
Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo and Tunica, Southeast Missouri, including
the following areas, Dunklin and Pemiscot, and West Tennessee,
including the following areas, Benton TN, Carroll, Chester,
Crockett, Decatur, Dyer, Fayette, Gibson, Hardeman, Hardin,
Haywood, Henderson, Henry, Lake, Lauderdale, Madison, McNairy,
Obion, Shelby, Tipton and Weakley.

* WHEN...Through Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.
Extensive street flooding and flooding of creeks and rivers are
