Friday night rivals: Thompson vs. Clay-Chalkville

This week's Friday Night Rivals game is between the Thompson Warriors (4-1) and the Clay-Chalkville Cougars (4-0).

The matchup will take place at Warrior Stadium in Thompson.

Both teams had exceptional seasons on the ground this year, with the Warriors averaging nearly 180 rushing yards per game and the Cougars averaging 239 yards per game.

This game marks Thompson's homecoming game for the season.

The athletics program took to Facebook Thursday to alert fans to their home game in a design created by the school's assistant athletic director, Malachi McIntosh.

The last time the Warriors faced the Cougars in September 2024, they fell 36-33.
