Gadsden Area High School Football Results Live Week 5 Updates

The Alabama high school football season begins Week 5 on Thursday, and there's plenty of action in the Gadsden area on Friday night as well.

It could be one of the region's biggest games in recent years when Coosa Christian and Fyffe, both highly ranked and coming from state finals, face off. The game was originally scheduled for Thursday but was postponed to Friday.

Friday sees two big rivalries in Etowah County again: Glencoe hosts Hokes Bluff and Southside hosts Etowah. Elsewhere in the area, Collinsville hosts Sand Rock in an inter-district line rivalry. Geraldine vs. Boaz meet for the first time since 1970 and it is the Pirates' first trip to Boaz since 1953.
