Tyson Fury's brother gives 'true' verdict on Usyk result after watching 'Fight Back' multiple times

Team Tyson Fury is preparing for a rematch with Oleksandr Usyk in December this year.

“The Gypsy King” is preparing for something he has never experienced before – trying to recover from defeat. This happened in May in the highly anticipated four-belt fight against Usyk, the former undisputed cruiserweight champion who is yet to suffer a defeat.

Speaking to iFL TV, key team member and Tyson's brother Shane Fury has admitted they took the wrong fight last time but believes they can get revenge with the right game plan.

“The good thing about it is that it’s a winnable fight for next time. Whether he wants it or not are two different things. Tyson fought the wrong fight, we fought the wrong fight, so now he knows different, so we'll see. But I guess approaching a man like that and getting stuck in him is a lot easier said than done, isn't it? But if you train your mind, it might be a lot easier to get it done than trying to turn it on in the next round.”

Although Tyson continues to claim that he thought he won easily that night, Shane disagrees and vacillates between Usyk and his brother every time he rewatches the broadcast.

“It was a good, close fight.

Sometimes I look at it and think Usyk won, sometimes I look at it and think Tyson won, and that's the truth. Anyone who sees differently has an agenda behind them.

He really was fighting the wrong fight. A week or two before the event we all sat down and I explained what we needed to do. I do think Tyson will have the edge in the next fight.”

Should Fury pull through and become a three-time world champion, there are more great fights to come, be it a trilogy with the Ukrainian, an undisputed fight against fellow promotion Daniel Dubois or a long-awaited fight with the recently defeated Anthony Joshua. First up is December 21st and the big task of giving Usyk his first defeat.
