1 dead after tractor-trailer rollover crash in West Forks

WEST FORKS, Maine (WABI) – One person is dead after a tractor-trailer rollover crash in Somerset County.

It happened on Route 201 in West Forks around 3 p.m. Friday.

Authorities say when they arrived on the scene they found the tractor-trailer down an embankment with the driver still inside.

The driver was pronounced dead on the scene.

Their name has not yet been released.

At this time, the truck and logs remain down the embankment.

Those are set to be removed on Saturday. Maine DOT will be setting up traffic lights to assist with traffic control.

You’re asked to use caution if you’re traveling through the area of Route 201 on Saturday.
