Olivia Newton-John's daughter releases new song “Phoenix” about her late mother: listen here

Olivia Newton-John's daughter Chloe Lattanzi honors her late mother in a special way.

On Thursday, Newton-John's 75th birthday, Lattanzi released her new song “Phoenix.”

According to a press release about the song, “Phoenix” was a song that Lattanzi allegedly played for her mother before her death.

“This song is very special to me in many ways,” Lattanzi said in a statement released in the press release. “My mom believed in me, she loved the song and I hope that when people hear it they feel uplifted and fly – like a phoenix.”

The singer shared a snippet of the song on Instagram and added: “Happy birthday mom!!! This song is for you. My promise to you🙏🏻 I fly and share my heart.”

Newton-John, who bravely battled cancer since her first diagnosis in the 1990s, died on August 8, 2022 at the age of 73.

Lattanzi's music is just one of the ways she remembers her mother. She keeps John's legacy alive through Olivia's Walk for Wellness, an annual 5K walk in Melbourne to help cancer patients access free, evidence-based wellness therapies at the ONJ Centre.

According to a press release, the singer said she plans to return to Melbourne again in October to keep her mother's legacy alive.
