It is also alleged that Cordova was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident and caused serious bodily injury to 63-year-old Cecilio Camacho Lazaro, a passenger in Lazaro's vehicle.

Cordova was traveling north in the southbound lanes of the highway. 101 north of Los Alamos, according to the California Highway Patrol, when she collided with the Lazaros' vehicle north of Santa Maria Way.

Cordova was arrested on the warrant Thursday and remains in the Santa Barbara County Jail without bail.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the case and Assistant District Attorney Madison Whitmore is leading the prosecution team. Cordova will be arraigned Sept. 30 in Department 9 of Santa Maria Superior Court.
