Two people injured in crash near Long Prairie

LONG PRAIRIE TOWNSHIP (WJON News) – Two people were injured in an accident near Long Prairie Friday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported an SUV driven by a 27-year-old around 2:30 p.m Morgan Meyer of Burnsville was traveling north on Highway 71 and a pickup truck was driven by a 20-year-old Zachary Tschida from Sauk Center was heading south when they collided.

Both Meyer and Tschida were taken to CentraCare Long Prairie Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. State police say alcohol was a factor in Meyer's crash.
