Man arrested in California in connection with South Boston shooting – Boston 25 News

BOSTON – A man has been arrested in California in connection with a shooting in South Boston in May.

According to police, 18-year-old Twaldo Baez of South Boston is charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

On Wednesday, May 22, at approximately 12:05 p.m., officers were advised that two people who had been shot had self-transported to a local hospital.

Upon arrival, officers were advised that the victims had sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, after further investigation it was determined that the shooting occurred on Joyce Hayes Way in South Boston.

With the help of the Fugitive Unit, officers were able to inform the U.S. Marshals of the suspect's location and arrest him in Los Angeles.
