Chris Richards is suffering from a hamstring injury but Trevoh Chalobah could make his Crystal Palace debut against Everton

Trevoh Chalobah will make his Premier League debut for Crystal Palace at Everton on Saturday.

The 25-year-old centre-back is yet to feature for the club after joining on a season-long loan from Chelsea in the summer.

Chalobah could start in place of USMNT defender Chris Richards, who will miss the trip to Merseyside with a hamstring injury.

Palace head coach Oliver Glasner also said that Brazilian midfielder Matheus França was almost fully fit. The 20-year-old signed a five-year contract at Selhurst Park last summer but has not featured yet this season.

“(Franca and Chalobah) are available, but França will not be in the squad after it was his first full week with us,” Glasner said. “After almost six months it would be unfair for him to be in the squad – but he feels comfortable and has no problems.

“Trevoh will be in the squad and he is available but we lost Chris Richards this week. He will not be available next week because he has a hamstring injury.”

Glasner also confirmed that midfielder Cheick Doucoure and summer signing Chadi Riad remain unavailable.

Palace, along with Saturday's opponents Everton, are one of six Premier League teams still waiting for their first win of the season.

The club from south London are in 16th place in the table and have taken three points from their first five games.

After the game against Everton, Palace host Liverpool in their final game before the international break in October, when Richards' US team play Panama and Mexico in friendlies.
