Provo man arrested with storage room full of stolen e-bikes

PROVO — Provo police officers searched for two stolen e-bikes, but came across many more.

When police searched Jordan Olsen's Provo storage unit, they discovered it was “full of electric bikes, scooters and other property,” police said in a probable cause statement. Much of this property was stolen.

Police found the two bikes they were originally looking for, both valued at $2,200. They were also able to solve at least two existing cases of stolen e-bikes from the Provo area, valued at $750 and $1,500.

The stolen items included a set of golf clubs valued at more than $400 that were stolen near the BYU campus earlier this month. Olsen's vehicle was spotted at the scene, police said.

It's not immediately clear how much other stolen property was in the storage unit. The sums announced by police so far alone amount to over $8,000.

In connection with these thefts, Olsen faces six charges, including four felonies.
