Woman flown to hospital by Jackson County tow truck after crash on US 65

WARSAW, Missouri (KCTV) – An Edwards, Missouri, woman was flown to an area hospital Friday after she was involved in a crash on US 65, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

The crash occurred around 9:45 p.m. on September 27 in Warsaw, Missouri, northeast of Lake of the Ozarks.

According to MSHP, a 43-year-old Lee's Summit man was driving a Jackson County tow truck south on US 65 when a 58-year-old woman in a Buick Enclave pulled up in front of him. The woman attempted to turn from northbound US 65 onto westbound Highway T, which required crossing the southbound lanes.

The tow truck driver was wearing a seatbelt and was not reported to have suffered any injuries.

The 58-year-old driver from Edwards, Missouri, was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered serious injuries. She was flown to a hospital in Columbia, Missouri, for treatment. Her car was reportedly totaled in the accident.
