Osasuna 4-2 Barcelona (September 28, 2024) Match analysis

Ante Budimir scored twice to help Osasuna to a shock 4-2 home win over leaders Barcelona and hand the visitors their first defeat of the LaLiga season on Saturday.

Bryan Zaragoza, on loan from FC Bayern Munich, crossed to Budimir with a close-range header in the 18th minute, opening the scoring. Ten minutes later, the 23-year-old winger extended Osasuna's lead with a goal from a quick counterattack.

Barca reduced the deficit thanks to a huge blunder from Osasuna goalkeeper Sergio Herrera, who failed to keep out a weak shot from Pau Victor in the 53rd minute, but Budimir extended the hosts' lead with a penalty in the 72nd minute after being fouled had been in the box.

Substitute Abel Bretones scored the fourth goal with a brilliant long-range shot in the 83rd minute, before Lamine Yamal scored Barca's second goal in the 89th minute with a shot from the edge of the box.

Barca lead the table with 21 points, four points ahead of second-placed Real Madrid, which still has a game in hand and faces local rivals Atlético Madrid on Sunday.
