Healion wins bronze in the World Championship road race

The Tullamore Touring and Cycling Club rider

Offaly's Josephine Healion is another World Cup medalist.

The Tullamore rider, piloted by Eve McCrystal, took third place at the Paracycling World Championships in Zurich this afternoon, winning bronze in the women's B road race.

Healion improved to fourth place in the time trial on Sunday.

After finishing third in Canada, she has now won two bronze medals at the World Road Championships.

The winners of today's race were Katie George-Dunlevy and Linda Kelly, who retained their world title in the race.

While Paralympic gold medalists Sophie Unwin and Jenny Holl of Great Britain finished to take silver.
