Jacob Elordi sunbathes shirtless in Italy with his girlfriend Olivia Jade Giannulli

Jacob ElordiHe lets his worries melt away under the warm Italian sun and shows off his six-pack abs next to his girlfriend Olivia Jade Giannulli – all while some in the US condemn his recent casting in Wuthering Heights.

The actor and his girlfriend visited the Italian coast with their family… and he clearly enjoyed the refreshing blue waters of the Mediterranean – he kept jumping off the boat into the surf.

In most of these pictures, he's dripping wet… flaunting his six-pack abs in just a pair of dark blue shorts, while his better half appeared to be mostly staying on the shore and on the boat.

She tans in a lavender two-piece bikini, brushes her hair and stretches out on the deck next to her husband.

There's not a lot of pure PDA here – the OJG family is on the ship, after all – but there are plenty of flirtatious moments between the two on vacation.

The two seem unfazed on their European trip…so it seems the controversy surrounding Elordi's upcoming role as Heathcliff from the classic romance novel Wuthering Heights isn't reaching him.

ICYMI… Elordi was cast on the side Margot Robbie for the film adaptation of the book – preparing for filming in the UK in 2025. The casting caused uproar because the book describes Heathcliff as a “dark-skinned gypsy” who was abandoned as a baby in Liverpool, a wealthy place. Well-known slave port when the novel was written.

So people have always assumed Heathcliff was black – which JE obviously isn't. The author of the book is worth mentioning Emily Bronte never comes out and says it explicitly… but still some people aren't happy with the casting.
