3 people arrested in raid on Redding drug house | News

REDDING, California. – A home in the 2900 block of Shasta View Drive was searched Friday, Sept. 27, 2024, after neighbors reported what they believed was illegal activity taking place there.

According to the Redding Police Department's Neighborhood Police Unit (NPU), neighbors complained about the constant traffic to and from the home. The NPU believed the home was a center for drug-related activities.

One of the three people arrested was identified by police as the primary occupant of the home, 40-year-old Kyle Dumas. Police said he was stopped while trying to leave the area in a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Ryan Souter of Redding.

According to the NPU, Dumas was arrested for maintaining a drug house, being addicted to ammunition and possessing a baton.

Souter was charged with possession of a baton, receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.

A third man, who had multiple outstanding arrest warrants, was taken into custody at the property. Police identified him as 37-year-old Joshua Jenson of Redding.

The NPU said it found a “significant” amount of drug paraphernalia at the house, as well as various types of ammunition, the impact weapon and stolen goods from a local retail store.

They described a house “filled with drugs, trash, miscellaneous items and exposed wiring,” which confirmed their suspicions that “the apartment was being used as a drug house.”
