After a 56-0 shutout win over Kent State last week, No. 8 Penn State (3-0) hosts No. 21 Illinois (4-0, 1-0 in Big Ten play) at 7:30 p.m Beaver Stadium ET for NBC's Big Ten Saturday Night Showdown. Saturday's game marks the first time Penn State will face Illinois at home since 2021, when the Nittany Lions won 20-18 in a nine-overtime game.

Nittany Lions quarterback Drew Allar is off to a strong start to the season, where he is tied for second in the Big Ten in touchdowns thrown with eight. In last week's game against Kent State, the 6-foot-5 gunslinger threw for 309 yards and three touchdowns with just four incomplete passes.
