In one of the most powerful games of the college football season so far, 17-year-old Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams didn't shy away. With 2:31 minutes left in the game, the Tide appeared to be on the ropes after Georgia took a 34-33 lead on a 67-yard touchdown pass from Carson Beck to Dillon Bell, extending its lead to 28 points Alabama wiped out . With his team facing its first deficit of the night, Williams made the decisive move. The freshman phenom caught a long pass from Jalen Milroe, danced around a pair of Bulldog defenders and raced 75 yards to the end zone to put his team back in the lead for good at 41-34.

The touchdown would be the difference in the game after Alabama defensive back Zabien Brown stepped in front of a Beck pass in the end zone to end Georgia's last-minute drive and seal the victory for the Tide.

It was Williams' second highlight play of the game. In the third quarter, he completed a pass from the tip drill for a 54-yard gain, surpassing the 100-yard mark for the second time in his career. In his collegiate debut against Western Kentucky last month, he recorded two catches for 139 yards and two touchdowns.

Williams finished the night with six catches for 177 yards.

According to 247Sports, Williams is the No. 8 prospect in the 2024 recruiting cycle and has scored a touchdown in his first four games at Alabama. He is the Alabama team leader in catches, yards, and receiving touchdowns.
