The CEO of WeightWatchers, who oversaw the diet company's entry into weight-loss medications, is abruptly leaving the job

WeightWatchers is shaking up its leadership. WW International announced on Friday that CEO Sima Sistani will step down from her position with immediate effect. Tara Comonte, a WeightWatchers board member and former Shake Shack executive director, has been named interim executive director.

The New York-based company did not disclose the reasons for the abrupt move. It said that Comonte would take on the role of CEO at a time when the company is “focused on improving its operational and financial performance.” Sistani joined WeightWatchers as CEO more than two years ago. During her tenure, she led the company's entry into the prescription weight loss medication business.

Boar's Head is facing legal scrutiny over a deadly listeria outbreak in deli meats, according to the USDA

Boar's Head, the deli at the center of a deadly listeria food poisoning outbreak, is under investigation by law enforcement, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced in response to requests for government records.

U.S. Department of Agriculture officials announced the action in response to requests for government records. Officials refused to release documents to the Associated Press about inspections and enforcement actions at a now-closed plant in Virginia or inspections at eight other Boar's Head factories. The outbreak has killed 10 people and sickened more than 50 in 19 states and sparked multiple lawsuits.

Previously released records showed problems such as mold, insects, dripping water and meat and grease residue on walls, floors and appliances dating back at least two years. Boar's Head previously recalled more than 7 million pounds of deli meat that was distributed to stores across the country.
