The Resident Evil 9 leak has left fans seriously excited

But will it succeed?

According to sources, Capcom has big ambitions Resident Evil 9and wants it to be the most successful Resident Evil game to date.

Those who followed the PlayStation State of Play event may have been disappointed to see that there was no mention of the next Resident Evil game, despite claims that one was due.

The last Resident Evil game to be released was Resident Evil 4 (2023), a fantastic remake that could have implications for the next mainline entry

At the moment it is simply called Resident Evil 9although it will probably have a slightly longer title Resident Evil 7: Biohazard And Resident Evil 8: Village did.

While nothing else is really known about the game, insiders claim Capcom has big plans for the sequel and is aiming for a smash hit in terms of review scores.

This comes from insider Dusk Golem, who recently claimed: “Not only is Resident Evil 9 just an ambitious game, but there has not been a non-remake Resident Evil game that has achieved critical success, achieving a critical score above 90 .”Hear that Capcom is working really hard to make this great.”

They continued: “I know some will say, “Of course they want to make a good game,” but in this case I mean they are hyper-aware that no mainline RE gets a 90+ Metascore without a remake has since RE4 OG 20 years ago. They hope RE9 will be recognized as a top entry by critics and fans.”

Of course, as the post states, Capcom wants the game to be successful, and it's not like previous titles didn't deliver the scares, frights, and action scenes that the series is now known for.

What it means is that the next game should hopefully be bigger and better than all the previous games. What could go wrong?
