Three people arrested in Koppal stabbing amid personal feud

KOPPAL: Authorities have arrested three people in connection with a knife attack in Gundamma town Coppal. The altercation, which broke out on Monday, left three people injured and resulted in charges being filed against nine people.

According to Koppal Police Commissioner Ram Arasiddi, the clash was due to personal enmity between two groups. One of the injured was identified as Shivakumar, a local resident.

Manjunath, a resident of the area, lodged a complaint, prompting the police to file an atrocity case. Three people are currently in custody, while three to four other suspects remain at large. Police confirmed that the situation in Gundamma was now stable and no further incidents had been reported.

Ongoing investigations are being carried out to clarify the case.

A separate knife attack occurred in Belagavi on September 18 in which three people were injured in a clash during a Ganesha procession, a statement said. Authorities said there was no communal motive behind this altercation.
