Denver police arrest Dakotah Lulei on suspicion of murder

Denver police arrested a man Saturday on suspicion of second-degree murder in connection with the death of the suspect's roommate Friday.

Police arrested 28-year-old Dakotah Lulei after an autopsy on his roommate revealed “internal injuries consistent with significant trauma,” the department said in a news release Sunday. Lulei is being held on suspicion of second-degree murder and assault.

When police responded to a medical emergency in the 5200 block of North Vasquez Boulevard on Friday evening, the emergency was initially viewed as a possible overdose, according to the news release.
