The Administration of Maritime Safety and Port Management (UPSUL) announced that two ships “Mangar” and “Contship Vow” came into contact at the Bar anchorage this evening at 21.08.

As they said, due to the strong north wind, the anchor of one of the ships was most likely plowed, which led to the contact.

“No lives were endangered and no marine pollution was reported in this incident, but there was a loss of a lifeboat from one of the vessels. The Maritime Operations Center, which is part of the UPSUL, informed the Port Authority Bar, PSC in accordance with the inspection procedures, as well as the National Maritime Casualty Investigator, who, within the framework of their responsibilities, will conduct an inspection of the vessels involved in the incident this evening “says the statement, as reported by RTCG.
