Nandamuri Balakrishna's reaction to Aishwarya Rai touching his feet goes viral, watch video

Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna presented the Best Actress award to Aishwarya Rai at IIFA Utsavam 2024. The ceremony took place in Abu Dhabi over the weekend and she was presented with the award for her performance in Ponniyin Selvan 2. In a video that surfaced online, NBK stood on the stage and presented the IIFA trophy to Aishwarya Rai.

The Bollywood actress, who played a dual role in Mani Ratnam's film, gracefully walked on the stage to accept her award. But before accepting the award, Aishwarya touched Balakrishna's feet. The Telugu star blessed her and presented her with the award. The video has taken over the internet. Check it out below:

The actress also hosted the Best Director category. She presented Mani Ratnam with the Best Director award for his work on Ponniyin Selvan 2. The actress was visibly excited when she made the announcement and touched his feet as he arrived on stage.

Talking to the media at IIFA, Aishwarya expressed her gratitude, “He is my guru. From the beginning, I was grateful to work with Mani Ratnam. It is an honor to have played against Nandini in Ponniyin Selvan and to share this success with our team.”

IIFA Utsavam 2024 was held on Friday evening. The actress attended the awards ceremony and returned home the next day. She was spotted with her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. Other members of the Bachchan family were apparently missing from the ceremony. They have not yet commented on their victory either.

Meanwhile, Vikram bagged the Best Actor (Tamil) award for his exceptional performance in Ponniyin Selvan 2. Other big winners of the night included Rajinikanth's Jailer, which won the Best Film (Tamil) award, and Nani, which took home the Best Actor (Telugu) award. Award for Dasara.
