Former Alabama star Derrick Henry is still going strong in his age-30 season.

Star running back Derrick Henry's momentum didn't end with his Heisman win during his final year of college in 2015. Rather, the former Alabama sensation has maintained a strong pace through eight full NFL seasons and is off to a strong start in his ninth Season laid down.

The 30-year-old phenom, a rare combination of size, speed and power like few have seen before, signed with the Baltimore Ravens after being productive with the Tennessee Titans from 2016-2023. Henry's accolades in Nashville include four Pro Bowl selections, a first-team All-Pro nomination in 2020 and many more. He was also among the running backs to reach the rare mark of 2,000 rushing yards in a single season in 2020.

Tennessee still traded Henry just before his 30th birthday, paving the way for the Ravens to sign him as a starter in March to a two-year deal that could reach a total value of $20 million. In three games this season, he has accumulated 281 yards and four touchdowns to go, already nearly halfway to his mark of 12 for the entire 2023 season. In a game against the Cowboys on September 22, he rushed for 151 yards and two scores.

Henry is probably far from finished, but he already has a career full of success in both college and the NFL. He is one of the greatest players of the Nick Saban era at Alabama and has barely reached 10,000 rushing yards in his career. As of this writing, he has 9,783 yards in this category.
