Around 7:50 p.m., a couch fell from a vehicle on the highway, east of the Broadway Extension exit. The Oklahoma City Police officer turned on his emergency lights and stood in front of the sofa so other drivers couldn't hit it. According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, a truck pulling a horse trailer drove behind the officer's unit and threw his vehicle to the side of the road. The officer was still wearing his seatbelt in his vehicle at the time of the accident. According to police, he was taken to a hospital in stable condition and is expected to be fine. The eastbound ramp from Broadway Extension was closed to traffic due to the accident.
