Two separate crashes resulting in serious injuries shut down Wellborn Road at Harvey Mitchell Parkway

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – College Station police are investigating two separate serious injury crashes that occurred Sunday evening.

According to police, the first accident occurred near TX Burger on Wellborn Road. According to police, a Honda SUV driver suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Tragically, a dog in the vehicle was killed at the scene of the accident. Both directions of Wellborn Road are currently closed.

Accident reconstruction, Air Operations (drone team) and PIO are on site at the crash in Wellborn.

The second accident involved a moped and a vehicle colliding at the intersection of Holleman Drive South and Harvey Mitchell Parkway. According to police, the moped driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Her condition is not yet known.
