Latest HomePod Leaks: Apple will add interactive screen and Apple Intelligence

JAKARTA Apple continues to update HomePod, speakers with Siri assistant. Since the device was released in 2018, this device has continued to improve in both design and features.

Apparently Apple will be making big changes next year. According to a Bloomberg report, the company is developing two versions of HomePod that will come with screens and advanced features from Apple Intelligence.

The latest generation HomePod is divided into two parts. The first version, code J490, uses a lower class screen type, while the second version, code J595, is more sophisticated by incorporating a robotic arm and a larger screen size.

With the addition of Apple Intelligence to the device, Apple will have to develop a dedicated operating system (OS) for the HomePod. Therefore, Apple will also introduce a new operating system called homeOS for the next generation HomePod.

In fact, homeOS is just a name created for the HomePod operating system because this operating system comes from tvOS. Apple deliberately uses the system for Smart TV because they want to combine the functions of their HomePod and Smart TV.

HomePod is rumored to feature a lower-end display with an A18 chipset to allow Apple to get into Apple Intelligence. This device uses a square screen equipped with a camera to allow users to FaceTime.

Lower-end smart screens will also come with multiple applications such as Calendar, Note and Home. There is no further specification information for the upper-class HomePod. However, specifications from the lower class can also be found in the more expensive variant.
