Incident Management Team deployed to assist with disaster recovery in North Carolina

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) – Emergency responders are being deployed in Kentucky to help with disaster recovery efforts in North Carolina, where victims have reportedly lost belongings and loved ones in flooding.

A search is underway for the missing girl who was last seen in Estill County

Gov. Andy Beshear posted on social media Sunday that Kentucky Emergency Management has sent “an emergency management team” to North Carolina to assist with disaster recovery in the region.

“Thank you for living our Kentucky values ​​by helping those in need,” Gov. Beshear said in his social media post.

According to the Lexington Fire Department, first responders also joined a team of emergency responders from Ohio earlier this week that reportedly traveled to Orlando, Florida, to assist disaster victims.
