Four were hospitalized in a car crash on Highway 1

VANDENBERG VILLAGE Calif. – A teenage girl and three other people were hospitalized due to a car accident on Highway 1, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

According to SBCFD, the accident involved two cars and occurred near Santa Lucia Road around 5 p.m.

The young girl, who suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash, was taken to Lompoc Valley Medical Center. Three others suffered moderate to severe injuries and were taken to Marian Medical Center.

Highway 1 remains closed in both directions and the cause of the incident is under investigation.
