Herefordshire woman in court for Class A drug offenses

A HEREFORDSHIRE woman has admitted possessing heroin and cocaine.

Carrie Mccleod, 38, was caught on February 14 with 0.18 grams of cocaine and 0.89 grams of heroin.

She was also found to have been driving a motor vehicle with levels of benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine, in her body above the legal limit.

Appearing at Hereford Magistrates' Court earlier this month, she pleaded guilty to one count of possession of cocaine, one count of possession of heroin and one count of driving a motor vehicle with a level of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit.

According to court documents, Mccleod had more than 800 micrograms (mg) of benzoylecgonine per liter of blood. The limit is 50 mg.

She is not accused of driving under the influence of drugs, but is said to have been in “control of a motor vehicle.”

Mccleod, of Westhope Hill, was remanded on unconditional bail ahead of her sentencing on October 8.
