Anvar vows to continue his fight and accuses CM of having no idea about gold smuggling

Nilambur: Independent MLA PV Anvar, who faced CPM's wrath over his allegations against the police, said he would continue his fight and supporting his movement would trigger a revolution in Kerala. Addressing the media here on Monday, Anvar alleged that the government was ignoring facts and not addressing issues such as youth unemployment.

“I will also organize political awareness meetings in Malappuram and Palakkad. If CPM challenges me, I am ready to take on the challenge. Let the public decide the fate of my movement. I am sure my movement will become a revolution in Kerala,” he said.

Anvar reiterated his allegations against ADGP Ajith Kumar and political secretary to the chief minister P Sasi regarding links with gold smuggling. He alleged that the police paid over Rs 18 lakh to a goldsmith to check the purity of the smuggled gold.

“CM is talking nonsense about gold smuggling through airports. He just doesn't recognize the truth. I don't think it's just a few police officers who are behind the gold smuggling through the airport. ADGP Ajith Kumar and P Sasi are involved in it,” Anvar claimed.

Replying to media's questions, the MLA said that ADGP Ajith Kumar should be barred from entering the police headquarters.

Anvar will address the public at a political awareness meeting at Kozhikode's Muthalakulam on Monday at 6.30 pm. He will talk about the Mami missing person case at the meeting. Over thousands of people attended his first public meeting in Nilambur on Sunday. The LDF rebel MLA announced that he will address the public in Areekode, Manjeri and Vengara on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
