Police are searching for three men in an armed robbery and barricade incident in Fairhill

Police are searching for three men after a suspected attempted robbery led to a standoff at a barricade in Fairhill late Saturday night.

According to 6ABC, at 11:22 p.m. police saw three men leaving a store in the 2900 block of N. 5th Street wearing bulletproof vests and masks. One man ran and managed to escape, although authorities pursued him on foot while the other two men went back into the building.

Officers then set up a barricade at 11:50 p.m., which was cleared by a SWAT team around 2 a.m. Sunday. No one was arrested as police suspect the two men fled the building through a second-floor window.

After the incident, police recovered a gun used by one of the suspects, as well as a vehicle containing zip ties and other items that officers believe were intended to be used in the robbery.

The store's 47-year-old owner was in the building during the incident and was later taken to a hospital for stable injuries. A 37-year-old woman was also injured.
