Youth court confirms arrest of Campai murder suspect – TopNews

A juvenile court in Brescia confirmed on Monday the arrest of a 17-year-old accused of the premeditated murder of 42-year-old Maria Campai in the garage of the house where he lives in Viadana, near Mantua.


The teenager is also accused of hiding Campai's body in the garden of an abandoned villa after the September 19 murder.


The 17-year-old was questioned by judges on Monday morning before the arrest was confirmed, court sources said.


He has been held in Milan's Beccaria youth prison since his arrest last Friday.


The teenager told investigators that he killed Campai “out of curiosity” because he wanted to know what it felt like to murder someone, according to sources close to the investigation.


He allegedly met her on a dating app and researched the internet before the murder to find out how to murder someone with his bare hands, the sources added.
