The suspects who died in the accident that ended the pursuit were brothers

HOLLAND, Mich. – The two men killed in a crash that ended a police chase were brothers.

Alfredo Mojica Majin, 26, and Bryan Mojica, 21, both died Sunday morning when their vehicle crashed into a tree near the intersection of 32nd Street and South Shore Drive.

The couple was being chased by a Dutch public safety officer when the accident occurred.

The pursuit occurred after the officer responded to a reported fight at the Speedway gas station at Washington Avenue and 33rd Street. When the officer arrived, he saw the vehicle pull out of the parking lot and then heard gunshots, likely coming from that vehicle.

The officer pursued the vehicle to 32nd Street and west until the accident occurred.

When investigators searched the vehicle, they found a handgun. As the sun rose Sunday, they also found four bullet casings near the gas station. According to police, these casings matched the pistol found in the car.

The pursuit and crash remain under investigation by both the Holland Department of Public Safety and the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office. Tips can be sent to the Holland Department of Public Safety at (616) 355-1150 or Silent Observer at 1 (877) 887-4536.
