The NFL says it didn't find enough evidence to suspend K Brandon McManus

The NFL has completed its investigation into the former Jaguars K Brandon McManus stating that, according to Adam Schefter, there was insufficient evidence of a violation of the personal conduct guidelines.

The league will not discipline McManus and he could now be signed to a team relatively quickly since there are several with kicking issues so far in 2024.

The veteran was sued in civil court by two women who were flight attendants on Jaguars charter flights. In the lawsuit, the two women said McManus wore his body against them without their consent and that he turned the Sept. 28, 2023, flight to London into a party and handed out $100 bills to flight attendants so they danced provocatively.

The case was recently dismissed by a judge who found that the two women's exceptions to anonymity were not met.

McManus, 32, originally signed with the Colts in 2013. He only stayed with the Colts for a few months before being traded to the Giants at the end of the 2014 season.

New York later traded McManus to the Broncos for a 2015 conditional seventh-round pick. McManus returned to the Broncos in 2017 on a one-year restricted tender worth $2.746 million and later agreed to a three-year extension worth $11.254 million.

McManus agreed to another four-year contract extension with the Broncos in 2020 for $17.2 million. He had two years left on his contract and was due base salaries of $3.65 million and $3.85 million when the Broncos released him.

From there, McManus signed a one-year deal with the Jaguars last year. Jacksonville declined to re-sign him and he signed a one-year contract with the Washington Commanders.

However, due to a sexual harassment lawsuit, Washington released him before he ever played a game.

In 2023, McManus appeared in all 17 games for the Jaguars and converted 30 of 37 field goal attempts (81.1 percent) and 35 of 35 extra point attempts (100 percent).
