High Point police are charging two people with drug offenses stemming from traffic stops

High Point police have charged two women with multiple drug-related offenses following a traffic stop Thursday.

Around 3 a.m., officers said they stopped a vehicle on the 2100 block of Edgewood Drive.

The 44-year-old passenger, Belinda Allen, reportedly had outstanding warrants for drug possession charges.

Officers then searched the vehicle and said they seized over 43 grams of methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana and some digital scales.

Allen was charged with criminal trafficking in methamphetamine, criminal possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute a Schedule VI controlled substance, criminal possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute a Schedule I controlled substance, and Charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance.

The driver of the vehicle, Cassie M. Grubb, 36, was also charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.

Officers also conducted a warrant search of a residence on Van Buren Street, during which more than 130 grams of heroin was reportedly removed from the premises.
