2 arrested after shots fired in Waltonville, Illinois.

WALTONVILLE, Ill. (KFVS) – Two men were arrested after shots were fired in Waltonville.

Christopher M. Redman, 58, was arrested on charges of reckless discharge of a firearm and possession of a firearm with an expired FOID card.

David P. Spotanski, 68, was arrested on charges of reckless discharge of a firearm and aggravated assault with a firearm.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, officers, along with officers from the Mount Vernon Police Department and Illinois State Police, responded to the 400 block of North Broadway at approximately 7:58 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, for a report of shots fired receive.

A resident, later identified as Redman, was taken into custody and officers determined there was no one else in the home.

After speaking with Redman and several witnesses, they learned that a second person was involved in the disturbance.

Officers went to a home in the 300 block of North Hirons Street and spoke with Spotanski, who was also taken into custody.

Redman and Spotanski were taken to the Jefferson County Justice Center.
