UConn's five-star shooting guard recruit will announce his decision on Monday

Could the UConn Huskies land their first commitment from the 2025 class on Monday?

According to ZAGSBLOG's Adam Zagoria, five-star shooting guard Darius Adams, who can choose between UConn, Tennessee and Michigan State, will announce his decision on Monday night.

“(Adams) will announce it on Monday at 5 p.m.,” Zagoria posted on X on Sunday.

Adams, a New Jersey native, is the No. 22 player in the class of 2025 according to 247Sports. He took his official visit to UConn in September.

UConn has its sights set on two more elite shooting guards from the 2025 class: Braylon Mullins at No. 16 and Meleek Thomas at No. 11. Mullins has reportedly narrowed his list to UConn, North Carolina and Indiana, but it is not yet known when a decision will be made.

Adams would be a more than welcome addition to Dan Hurley's program. At 6-foot-3, Adams has the potential to be a disruptive defender, especially if he can add muscle over the next 12 to 24 months.

On offense, Adams is an elite three-point shooter with great instincts when it comes to advancing the ball in transition, often driving to the rim and finishing creatively.

Adams still appears to be maturing physically. He has the ability to develop into a first-round pick as he gets stronger, and two or three seasons in Hurley's program would maximize his value in the eyes of NBA scouts on both sides.
