Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Detroit Lions is the player the Seattle Seahawks have to worry about

Seattle Seahawks defensemen will likely have a hard time staying in front of Amon-Ra St. Brown on Monday night.

After a slow start to his 2024 season (with just three catches and 13 yards in Week 1 against the LA Rams), St. Brown has seemingly morphed back into the All-Pro receiver he was a season ago.

Over the past two weeks, the 24-year-old has caught 18 balls from Lions signalman Jared Goff for 194 yards and a touchdown, good for nearly 11 yards per reception (10.78 yards/catch).

Additionally, the USC product scored the game-winning touchdown in Detroit's win over the Arizona Cardinals a week ago. And he also played a crucial role in the Lions' hook-and-ladder play last week that led to a Jahmyr Gibbs touchdown. St. Brown caught a quick slant route three yards behind the line of scrimmage and then threw the ball in step to Gibbs, who ran into the end zone.

“I don’t think anyone in that stadium was ready for that, including their defense,” St. Brown said of Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson’s creative play call. “But it was perfect.” Ideally, you like it compared to off-coverage, but he was under pressure and kind of ran with me, which made it perfect because the momentum change from me to Jahmyr threw, I mean, it is over for the defense and Sam (LaPorta) made a great block.”

By all accounts, St. Brown is hitting his stride just in time for the Week 4 showdown with the Seahawks, a team he recorded six receptions and 102 yards against in Week 2 last season.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Detroit's No. 1 receiver meet Seattle cornerback Tariq Woolen on Monday. Woolen, in his third NFL season, has had a great start to the 2024 season. He has been targeted 11 times so far this season and has allowed just four receptions for 31 yards and a paltry 7.0 passer rating, according to Pro Football Focus. For his efforts, he received an overall grade of 80.8 from PFF, including the same coverage grade (80.8).

There should be an exciting head-to-head matchup between the Lions and Seahawks in this prime time slot.

Seattle will undoubtedly do everything in its power to limit St. Brown's production during this must-see Monday Night Football matchup.
