Rochester man convicted of drug/gun possession – Finger Lakes Daily News

A Rochester man was sentenced to a decade in prison after he was found with guns and drugs two years ago.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Jaomi Delgado was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Charles Siragusa to 120 months in prison after being convicted of possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

The 31-year-old had been under investigation for months when he entered a restaurant on Norton Street in Rochester on May 18, 2022. U.S. Attorney Robert Marangola, who handled the case, said investigators saw a handgun in plain view near the center console of Delgado's vehicle. He was then taken into custody as he left the restaurant.

After the vehicle was towed, it was searched. Officers found a loaded .40 caliber handgun, 60 fentanyl pills, four cell phones and $17,875.00 in cash.

The investigation was conducted by the ATF and the Rochester Police Department.
