A trespassing complaint leads to two drug arrests

HOT SPRINGS – A trespassing report early Friday led to the arrest of a local man and woman on felony charges after drugs were reportedly found in vehicles where they were found sleeping.

Joseph Thomas Tucker Jr., 55, who lists an address on Amber Street, and Autumn Sunshine McJunkin, 38, who lists an address on Black Bear Lane, were both taken into custody shortly before 6:30 a.m. and each charged with possession of a Charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, meth, with a prison sentence of up to 10 years, and a misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia, with a prison sentence of up to one year.

McJunkin, who reports no prior offenses, was held on $4,500 bail, while Tucker, who reports no local offenses but reportedly had a Texas parole warrant, was held on zero bail. Both were scheduled to appear in Garland County District Court on Monday.

According to probable cause affidavits, Garland County Sheriff's Deputy Tre'Vonn Ready was dispatched around 5:45 a.m. Friday to the 100 block of Pate Lane, off the 1300 block of Millcreek Road, for a trespassing report.

The officer spotted two vehicles in the middle of the driveway of a residence there and approached one, a white 2012 Toyota Camry, in which a man, later identified as Tucker, was reportedly sleeping, waking him up.
